You all know that I love SEO. Why? Well because, ask Keith Wellman, I am a cheapskate and don’t like to pay for advertising. SEO is pretty much free advertising for your website.
You should always consider optimizing for both singular and plural versions of your designated keyword (I actually use this technique when posting blog messages and utilizing the post slug). If you are not sure what I am talking about, consider this. You want to optimize for both yellow dog and yellow dogs or even dog fish and dog fishing.
Now this is an idea I picked up from Matt Cutts over at Google, who is listed in the #2 spot in Google for linkbait and linkbaiting.
Take a peek at the title and the URL of the post.
SEO Advice: linkbait and linkbaiting

Matt was careful at selecting the keywords for this post. He picked keywords for the title and the URL. The same approach can be used for using “ing” on a word. For instance:
Your blog post title could be:
Catching a big fish with a rod.
Your URL could be:
http://www.tonyrocks.com/catch-big-fish-with-rod
This is where you make should use of the Post Slug of WordPress to help with SEO.

Hey Tony ! You’re using PHPlist to manage your Newsletter subscription . What is it ? I’ve never heard of it before (You’re the first guy I’ve seen who’s using it ) . Can u do a Blog post about this ? ( I read you saying somewhere that you’re a cheapstake , lol ) Is this only to save money or does this have any real benefits ?
Hello Navit!
Thanks for the nice words! I love working with Flash.
As for PHPList, well it is part of my hosting package. I’ve just been curious to use it. I’ll let all of you know how it goes…especially if I find it beneficial.
